A wild guess as to how this one started might be that a lawmaker's wife or daughter ran off with her skating teacher, right? Women aren't allowed to wear patent-leather shoes in Cleveland because a man might see the reflection of something "he oughtn't!" In Dayton, only men can be hired as hotel bellhops. In Bexley, Ordinance number 223, of 09/09/19 prohibits the installation and usage of slot machines in outhouses. (reader submission) In Ohio, it is illegal to get a fish drunk. These laws are culled from various print and online sources. There is a good chance that many of these have since been struck from the books, if they actually existed in the first place.
